The Tana and Athi Rivers Development Authority team, led by the Managing Director, was honoured to host the IFC – International Finance Corporation delegation in a strategic meeting to discuss the progress of the Land Commercialization Initiative (LCI)—a bold, government-led effort to unlock Kenya’s agricultural potential through private investment.The LCI, implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and supported by IFC, seeks to convert underutilized public land into high-impact agricultural hubs.
TARDA is proud to contribute to this national agenda by making select parcels at Kiambere and Masinga available for large-scale, sustainable farming.

This initiative aligns with Kenya’s Vision 2030 and the Agricultural Sector Growth and Transformation Strategy (ASTGS), targeting:
- Over KSh 65 billion in private investment

- Boosting food security and agro-industrial growth
