GROWING TREES FOR A GREENER FUTURE: TARDA CHAMPIONS TREE PLANTING EXERCISES IN EMBU AND MERU COUNTIES
TARDA officiated the “Back to School Tree Growing Launching Program” held at Kaaga Girls exemplifying a commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices. The Form One students planted an impressive 2020 tree seedlings as part of their initiative to adopt a tree each. The school has set a target of growing a total of 5000 seedlings by the end of 2024, showcasing a dedication to fostering a green and sustainable environment. In collaboration with the Meru County Government County Director of Education and the County Commissioner’s Office, TARDA also spearheaded the School Green Program at Kathurine Primary. The green revolution also took root at Nchaure Primary School still in Meru, 1000 tree seedlings were planted.
